Hannah & Craig’s Big Day

We were thrilled to be a part of Hannah & Craig’s special day in the lovely setting of Upton country park near Poole.

A very relaxed feel was to be had by their guests, as they made their way through the wrought iron gates of the park to be greeted by a glass of Pimms, which was greatly appreciated on one of the hottest days we have had this year. Next guests enjoyed jenga games on the lawn before entering the marquee that we had installed days before.

During initial meetings, we made sure that the marquee was large enough to accommodate their 100 guests with plenty of room for dancing and evening entertainments.

The venue consisted of a clear span structure, high peak roofs, panoramic window walls, hardwood flooring, pleated linings, furniture, bar, up and down lights, to name just a few options chosen by the bride / groom.

A wedding reception at The Seabournes in Boscombe

The Seabournes in Boscombe has a large, but narrow beer garden; and this was the venue where Sam chose to have her wedding reception at. Due to the flexibility of our marquees, we installed a structure which maximized the available space and created a venue large enough that 60 guests could seat in comfort.

As well as the marquee, solid flooring and linings, we also installed georgian window walls to bring in some natural light, down lighting and all the furniture.

Within five hours of the initial call for help, we were on site installing a marquee that was urgently required for a “speed bar”.

Having a house warming party? – need more space?

Whilst installing a marquee at a local venue, Julie noticed us and enquired about installing something similar at her home in St leonards, as a house warming party was in order.

We agreed on a size, something to provide cover for around 90 guests, just in case of you know what drops down from the sky A basic floor, a couple of lights, a stage and some tables later, a large outdoor space was created.

Peppa Pig spotted in St Giles!

The “Best of” food festival was recently held at the impressive Wimborne St Giles House.

Peppa Pig and the Moshi Monsters entertained the kids with their special appearances throughout the day, whilst the adults had plenty to see and do, whether that be drinking at the piddle bar, watching live music, or indeed the highlight of the show; the many food stalls with tasty produce to sample.

We provided a beer tent, a craft tent and a meet and greet tent, which was completely open (see below) to the front, showing how versatile our marquees can be to the requirements of an event.

I’m glad that the event drew in hundreds of people and was a success for the three hard working organisers!

I know it’s a bare tent, but some events don’t need all the bells and whistles.

Well last week we installed this monster at Chapel Gate in Bournemouth for a Hockey festival. It was actually used as an extension to the bar and the location for a foam party, although I was not invited!

This structure is not our biggest, far from it, but it still has the capacity to accommodate nearly 190 guests undercover. Again, the marquee was combined with a hard floor to create one large dancing area.

Where once stood a bare open field in the beautiful village of Burton Bradstock, this week, was transformed into a rustic wedding venue for two special people, their friends and family members.

We created the venue from the ground up. First preparing a solid floor to which the marquee stood on. This time, we did not cover the floor with new carpet, but instead opted to keep the bare boards on show to aid with the theme of the wedding. The marquee itself was finished with our high peak roofs and Georgian window walls so guests could enjoy the beautiful surroundings. An Ivory pleated lining was the choice of the day along with an entrance marquee where guests could write their messages and leave their presents. A traditional set up of the furniture was chosen, with circular round tables and a top table, finished in White cotton table linen.

As there was no services, we also helped with power, heating and toilet facilities, bringing all the modern comforts to this bare site.

Lastly, we installed a full bar, manned by myself and my close knit team, not only fulfilling the drink requirement for the day, but enabling someone to be on site at all times when the reception was on, which is especially useful, if anything were to need attention.

Mud and lots of rain BUT the show goes on in Wimborne.

The family food festival comes to The Paddock in Wimborne this weekend, where lots of food stands can be found to tantalize your taste buds. Also cookery demonstrations and entertainment can be found in the dry, under one of our structures.

So come on people, don’t be put off by a little water, put on your wellies and head on down to The Paddock and see what this show has to offer!

Surely it’s not possible to have a wedding ceremony in a marquee on a pebble beach in March?

Well the answer is most definitely YES!

We helped Ian and Kathy to achieve their dream of getting married on Eype’s lovely beach, by providing a little venue where their guests could enjoy their special celebrations.

I want that venue, but it’s too small. I have too many guests Danny. Help!

Branksome Dene Community Hall is a spectacular place for an occasion, but we are regularly called to extend the venue to accommodate larger events.

Here you can see how we not only can join the marquee to the hall, but also how the wonderful view can still be enjoyed, no matter which table your seated at.

And, you can enjoy this at any time of year, even on a freezing cold February night. Good job we have heaters to hire to make your guests feel comfortable.
